The Tiburon Classic Car Show is a wonderful community event, held annually in Tiburon near the ferry boat landing, against the beautiful backdrop of the Tiburon Waterfront Park. The show celebrates the beauty of classic automobiles produced prior to 1975. Food, ice cream, soft drinks as well as adult drinks are available from 11:00 o'clock am until 4:00 o'clock pm. Or, bring a picnic, relax on the lawn by the bay and enjoy the spectacular cars. The automobiles are not formally judged. The show is open to the public, and admission is free. There are four ferries to Tiburon from San Francisco on weekends and three from Tiburon to San Francisco.
My friends/clients have entered their 1968 280SL in the show this year, and it will be fun to see it out of the garage and on display alongside the other automobiles. Styles range from classic luxury to utility to muscle and sports cars.
As a longtime motoring enthusiast, I have attended the annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance ( 71st Annual - August 21, 2022) almost every year for the past twenty years, once as an entrant. I have tickets to the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace this September in East Molesey, UK, and have attended the car shows in Sausalito a few times, as well as Half Moon Bay as an entrant. I have also attended the California Mille at the Fairmont in San Francisco for the last twenty years, but it will be my first time attending the Tiburon show. It should be a fun afternoon.
